Sharon Leo - Coding Portfolio

My name is Sharon Leo. I am 16 years old and currently a junior at Northwood High School. I am majoring in computer science. The first time I tried coding was in Elementary School when we were introduced to the website Scratch during the Hour of Code activity. It was so exciting to me when I could watch my characters come to life by connecting puzzle pieces of coding. Following this event, I would always try to search up how to perform different actions through Scratch's assets. I made small animations, and even tried to create games. However, I was limited to the block assets that were in the website's library, and while it was fun to put together the blocks to create games, I soon discovered that there was more to coding than those boxes. I became interested in how such long lines of text could be transformed into interractive websites. I began searching for ways to learn how to code without the pre-made code blocks. In the summer of 2020, I participated in a student organized event under Roottech. Through the instructors' directions, I learned the basics of Java, HTML, and Javascript. I created applications from simple websites to full games. Still, I wanted to learn more, and so I would search up ways to improve what I could already do. I also learned the basics of Python through the internet and my own previous knowledge with the other coding languages.

The following are links to my previous projects I have completed.
